At the top of the falls with long views of Highland Lake...Simply put, there are no cottage homes in western North Carolina that are more unique in terms of layout, design, and location as our Upper and Lower Millhouses.  Located on the waterfall (and we mean right on the waterfall!) at Highland Lake, these two homes are peaceful retreats from everyday life.

Beautifully decorated by our award-winning interior designer, Harry Deaton, you'll find the interiors as inviting as the beautiful water at your doorstep! These cottages were designed as a working grist mill complete with fully-functioning waterwheel, expansive decks, and the most unbelievable views!
